This sculpture is one of Clint’s favourite things about peace park.
“I wonder why he’s there. I wonder why he’s not with somebody and why he’s sleeping there. What’s brought him here? What’s caused that to happen? And why did he choose peace park?”
“Whenever I leave or come back and I cross this bridge, it’s like a threshold for me. I get a really great feeling every time I come across this bridge.”
"My favourite spot in my entire neighbourhood. This is the mother tree. If you notice there’s a backpack hanging, there’s hooks for a swing… It’s on less than a 45 degree angle and you can walk up it and lie down.”
“I shouldn’t even have to explain why this is great… It’s wonderful. I see the people coming through all the time, they’re always happy, they’re always cheering each other on. It’s great and it’s a rather large group too.”
"There are so many ducks in my entire neighbourhood area and they're great because people can't be upset when there's ducks around. They feed them and giggle."
"I adore community gardens… This is a good step in the right direction... People get really happy and pleasant around each other. They trade vegetables amongst themselves and it’s really great”
“I love watching people fishing together. I think it’s great. They’re being communal without meaning to be.”
